How a launch gets on this page
Product Hunt’s own API, read every day. The window opens eight days back and closes 48 hours back, because a launch keeps collecting votes for about two days and one pulled at twelve hours old looks ignored when it is only unfinished. We take what the window returns rather than choosing from it.
Six upvotes or fewer. That is the entire rule - no filter on what the product is or how loudly it described itself, because the list is not a judgement. It accumulates, so it keeps everything it has ever seen.
Four to forty-five upvotes, and at least six comments for every ten upvotes. A conversation without the turnout to show for it. Sorted by comments per upvote.
Both shortlists go up on Tuesday and close on Sunday. One vote each, no account. Lowest Low draws only from launches that made a genuinely outsized claim - the one place on this site we are funny at anyone’s expense, and it is aimed at the claim, never the person who wrote it. Nominate is its opposite.
